You aren't factoring in our terrible labor participation rate nor the fact that automation is going to fricking decimate jobs in this country.

One of the main reasons for our low participation rate is the retiring baby boomers. Automation will be a problem but right now we have a labor shortage, a retiring labor force, low reproductive rate, and are cutting legal immigration. That only works if you can automate a hell of a lot of jobs in the next few years, are ok with illegal immigration, or are ok with economic stagnation/decline.
