Wouldnt more plays means your defense couldnt get off the field or that your offense was anemic, couldnt move the ball, 3 and outs and kept your defense on the field for extended periods?

You keep talking about pressure from defense, turnovers etc. What happens if LSU goes with a short passing game that negates the rush. The ball is hiked, you blink your eyes and the QB has already got rid of the football. How is your defense going to get pressure on QB (sacks) and turnovers if the short passing game negates all of that? Would be nice if you could answer the question to that.

Also, as another poster stated, our OL outweighs your DL by 40 lbs. Are you not worried about the DL being pushed around by a bigger, physical OL?

Worried for what? They pushed around a much better Notre Dame line last year than they will face at LSU. Most of the players who had the tfls and sacks in that game are back.

Where is this narrative coming from that our dline is small? They are Perfect size for a 4-3 dline.

Not sure you have noticed but Miami does have one of the best db groups in college football and the linebacker unit is top 3 as well. So even if you do short passes it won’t mean much or be any different than we have seen
