This shite is really simple to me
I can cook a really great steak at home and I can mix my own drinks.
I go out to be served. So when I get good service I tip really well. When I get bad service I don’t tip worth a shite. Folks in the service industry are not entitled to my money without providing good service

We are lucky. Go to Europe. I was in Germany and Austria and received the absolute worst service everywhere. It couldn't be because I was American because I venture to guess most Americans tip more than usual in Europe. It made me seriously appreciate that we tip here in the States and because of that we mostly get good service. We literally spent 20 minutes trying to pay our bill before our friend tapped the "waitress" on the shoulder in a place with all of 4 tables. Then she told us that tip wasn't included which was a complete and total lie being we were in Europe. So I am happy to tip here and get good service almost all of the time.

The biggest problem in the service industry (at least for me) is that they honestly believe they are entitled to a good tip regardless of their service. More and more, you see people who don't believe they have to earn that tip, and that it should be given regardless.
Almost every single time people bitch about bad tips, it is likely due to shite service they provided. Sure, there are outliers and there are also just shitty tippers. But most of the time, the ones whining about bad tips are the worst waiters/waitresses in the restaurant IMO.
