Nobody should be surprised at Serea's actions. Nobody. This has been her actions at times her entire career. Especially at the US Open where she feels like she should be able to do anything she wants and push the envelope.

Everytime this happens from her, she uses the exact same excuse. "Others have done worse". Well maybe Serena, you should not try to push it to the end and play the victim every-time.

I didn't say apologize.

Just think it would be appropriate to let her know where the line is before randomly telling her she crossed it.

I just think that would have been fair, given the circumstances.

I typically agree with you but not here brother. She absolutely knows where that line is and she doesnt need someone to set it for her everytime. Its not her first rodeo.

She didnt care. She was getting schooled and was not going to win. She exploited the situation and used it to make her feel better about getting whipped in the finals.

She does not need someone to triple warn her. She knew exactly what was going on

I just wont agree with another verbal warning

Where in this thread did I excuse her actions? I said the first penalty shouldn’t have been called and that’s it.

He's never been that over the top, but imagine the reaction if Serena said something along the lines of...

"don't show your hand to me. I'm gonna talk when I wanna talk. I don't give a shite what he said. Don't fricking tell me the rules."

What's wrong with that?

I don't really have a problem with it, but PEPE would start a couple threads about it and the rest of the people that hate Serena would call her some choice words, etc.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands won Mixed last night and I'm so incredibly happy about it.

I don't really disagree with you.

I just think the straight up warning of "I'll take this game" would have allowed her to properly hang herself instead of having this gray area or debate.

I think she would have still sabotaged the final with her antics.

Delpo content to just stay on the baseline and exchange groundstrokes with Novak all day will result in a straight set loss. He's got to be more aggressive.

He's not striking it super well either. Not enough shots deep or far in the corners. Novak is doing what he wants for the most part.

Djokovic reminds of Lendl right now. Just methodically dismantling his opponent. Like when Lendl beat Mecir in the Final.

Delpo's like a locomotive that takes a little while to get up to full speed. He's getting there though.
