I need an ELI 5 on the deficit. Is it because of expected tax receipts vs expected spending(approved budget)?
It's the only thing the dems hang their hats on and claim the sky is falling. Just curious why in a booming economy the deficit is growing. Is that common with an uptick in the economy?
Thanks

The cost to finance our 20 trillion in debt continues to increase with rising rates. If this trend continues, by 2023 we will spend more to finance our 20 trillion in debt then we spend on our military.
Trump has got to cut spending/reduce rate of spending after the mid terms or this country will be in trouble.
