Anyone else get a targeted offer?
Don’t see much completion to Amex Plat or Chase Reserve... only benefit I see is 2 times value on points booked with them as opposed to 1.5 with reserve.
But you only get 100 airfare credit.
Prob gonna do the reserve again since it’s been 24 months since the 100k offer, although it’s only 50k now.

I have it. It's not far off from Amex or Chase. I use it to separate certain expenses and if you redeem points for cash back/credit it counts as 1.5 points vs 1 for 1 like Chase.
It's also a cool card. Very thick metal and sleek looking.
Not sure it's worth the $500 per year for most people but I have gotten that back and then some on the perks and 1.5 point redemptions. I put around $20K per month on it, though.

Redeem your Points for Cash Back worth 1.5% in value. For example, 10,000 Points are equal to a $150 bank deposit or statement credit. Redemptions start at $1.00 or 67 points.

So you’re just running it for cash back and not booking travel through it?
Posted on 8/17/18 at 5:51 pm to Lsut81
Pretty much. I know I would be better going through my Black Card for the 2 point redemption but honestly I have only paid for one flight so far this year. I have a ton of points with American to use up still and other times I usually just hop on with my business partner on his jet. The majority of my travel can also be written off so I come out ahead paying for it vs redeeming points. Travel isn't my main concern for points for now.

If you are doing it for cash back, why not one of the 2% cards like Citi Double Cash?
Posted on 8/17/18 at 11:32 pm to TigerTatorTots
I only do cash back sometimes. For example I have actually bought one of my Breitlings with points instead of getting cash back.
Also, I don't pay that much attention to it to bounce from card to card honestly. I know some people do, but I just don't sweat it. As much as I spend on cards (did $400K on my cards last year and will beat that easily this year) I know I could max it all and do more but it is what it is.
These are the cards I carry and use:
Chase Sapphire Reserve
Luxury MasterCard Black from Barclays
Amex Business Plat
Chase Ink Business Preferred
Amazon card from Chase
It's more than I need as it stands. Don't care to add to the pile.

Multiple Breitlings? Mon dieu...
Posted on 8/18/18 at 9:28 am to stout
In general, I find Breitling watches to be overpriced, overwrought pieces of “look at me!” nonsense. With that said, I would need a particular reference number to give a more targeted critique

So which luxury watches dont trigger your contempt and jealousy?

Oh my, such an immediate and visceral "I promise my penis is above average!" response.
No wristwatch triggers jealousy in me and very few trigger active contempt. Breitling conjures only mild derision, for example. Now, start waxing poetic about your Hublot and we can take contempt for a spin

IMO someone triggered over what another man wears screams of insecurities directly related to having a small penis.

Too bad for you your posts quite obviously contradict this statement.

Wouldn't wear a Hublot if you gave it to me. My friend dropped $20K on one a few months back in Vegas and I told him he was stupid for doing so. It's hideous.

I'm "triggered" because I think Breitlings are overpriced, overwrought pieces of "look at me!" nonsense? Really, triggered? Is the poli board spilling onto MT again?

Sounds like you are triggered, contemptuous, jealous, or some combination thereof...
I kid. See, even you acknowledge that there are wristwatches that are overpriced, overwrought pieces of "look at me!" nonsense. Glad you finally came around

You don't even know which Breitlings I have and are assuming they are flashy. They aren't FYI.
You null any argument you may have just making assumptions with nothing to justify them other than your opinions.

I can have my opinion like you but at the end of the day IDC what someone spends their money on or wears. I don't have such deep insecurities like you do to where that shite matters to me.

bullshite
This was what I posted:

You then immediately starting attacking me personally.
And as for this nonsense:

The lady doth protest too much, methinks:

Congratulations on being an insecure hypocrite, I guess?

Me having an opinion that $20K on an ugly Hublot was not something I would do does not equal to me being jealous and insecure about it like you. Nice try, though.
I hope you can find peace with whatever causes your jealousy of others.

Your projection of your insecurities is remarkable. Sure, your opinion that Hublot produces overpriced, overwrought pieces of “look at me!” nonsense is fundamentally different than my opinion that Breitling produces overpriced, overwrought pieces of “look at me!” nonsense. Silly me. You can consider me well and truly chastened on the subject.

Now you're literally putting words in my mouth to justify your insecurities by trying to bring me down to your level.
Like I said, I truly hope you find peace with yourself to overcome whatever causes these feelings in you.

My apologies for making you a bit more articulate. Sure, your opinion that your friend's watch was "ugly", "hideous", presumably overpriced, and that your friend was "stupid" for having purchased it is fundamentally different from by opinion that, in general, Breitling produces overpriced, overwrought pieces of "look at me!" nonsense. Again, well chastened, indeed.
All sarcasm aside, I find it hilarious that your insecurities are driving you to pretend as though someone thinking poorly of a Breitling wristwatch is per se evidence of their inability to afford one. We're not talking Lange & Sohne, here. Breitlings in near perfect condition can be had for little more than a song:

This preening is starting to remind me of the poor sops walking around with their brand new no date Sub with the affect like it's the world's apex wristwatch
