Only 8 teams have stadiums that were built before 1995. Of those 8:

rams: getting new stadium
Raiders: getting new stadium
Bears: most consider it a “new” stadium
Dolphins: major renovations
Packers: ain’t goin nowhere
Chiefs: ain’t going nowhere
Bills: heaping pile of garbage

Do you think we’ll ever get new digs or will we be destined to endless rounds of renovations? Personally i would love a retractable roof stadium right in the same spot.

Dome will be there for another 15 years or so at least.

if they ever did new, it would have to be a blow up and rebuild in same spot IMO.

Will never happen. Tide has turned on using public money for frivolous stadia. Plus the state hasn’t had any excess cash in my lifetime.

The Dome is A great venue and should be renovated at times to keep it modern. Keep the Dome. You also have to consider with retractable rooks as to whether they are bad hurrican proof.

Superdome won't last forever. Where would another stadium be built?

You might be able to open the roof 1-2 games a season. It's not worth it. I know I don't want to sweat my arse off on a Sunday afternoon.

I hope not

Love the Dome.

Perfect location, loud, and and important part of the NOLA skyline.

I hope not. It is a special building and I think we've seen the NFL bubble burst. team revenues will probably start dropping soon.

Look if the Saints don't want to play in the Superdome anymore I'm sure that Tulane will again let them play in their stadium.

Wikipedia says they broke group on Lambeau in '56 (15 years before Superdome). We went for the LSU game - not sure if it was the New Glarus, excitement to see LSU @ Lambeau, or what, but it felt very nice from what I can recall.

The state of Louisiana doesn't have an extra billion dollars just laying around to spend on a stadium. JBE has lots of government employees and professional voters to reward first.

Paying the Saints a $25 million annual subsidy and the Benson Tower rental swap is one of the best things Jindal did.

Nothing wrong with it. Add better vendors like Domino's, though.

Too add, remove the roof and build a retractable roof. Easy.
