With the news that Bama just approved a $600 million spending package focusing primarily on Bryant Denny (Already a modern venue), when will we get an athletic director with enough cajones to go all in on facilities and personnel? TS is an amazing venue but desperately needs to be brought into the 21st century

They've basically been updating it non-stop for the last 10 years.

I actually like the charm of an old college football stadium than making stadiums look like NFL venues. You can make them nice without making your stadium look like a spaceship

Problem is if you don’t update regardless of the History so to speak people stay at home watching on their 70 screen

Saying that it I may go once a year and then reminded why I go only once

Gotta tread a bit carefully for a spell. It's already a very high stakes business, so before we start even more multi-mill capital projects, we need to see if we can get a great product again (as a fellow poster already alluded to). We don't know yet if O can get us to or near "the pinnacle." Plus we've still got that dufus bafoon Les Miles on the damn payroll. Just overall too risky right now, sport.

Why? Why can't you just buy a ticket go sit in the goddmmned seat and cheer your lungs out for the Tigers. Watch the game down on the field. Focus on the game thats whats happening. You need nothing else.

They've been updating for years. People still sit at home and watch on TV. It's not the stadium....

Outside of the concessions and alcohol sales in the stadium, I don’t know what I’d do to it.
Maybe make the concourses a little wider?
Retractable dome?
Make the white pvc pipe great again?

Slow your roll hombre. The south endzone concourse still had CRT TVs as recently as 2 years ago. Progress takes time.

Restrooms and concessions are in immediate need and are absolutely 3rd rate for a top program such as LSU.

For all of Alleva’s flaws and reasons for people to not like him and to bash him. He is actually really good at upgrading facilities and gettting the funds to do it. That’s part of the reason he still has a job. He is really good at making and raising money for specific upgrades around LSU athletics.

There have been several projects ongoing for the stadium this past off season, and pretty much each year for that matter.

These were both "upgraded" last season.

Bama football generates far more in revenue than LSU. Far more.
That said, Alleva is a turd.
