My thoughts on Alleva and the fans

TL;DR version:
Alleva wants LSU fans to accept mediocrity to save his job.
LSU fans shouldn’t spend their money if mediocrity (<10 wins) settles.
Tiger fans, please never stop demanding excellence from our athletic programs, especially football. 9 or less wins should not be satisfactory, and I’m of the opinion that Joe Alleva would love nothing more than for LSU’s fan base to lose most of their pride and become humbled by mediocrity. I remember a time around 2000 and 2001 when losing to Florida and Tennessee was “OK”, because they were better than us. At the end of the 2001 season, our mindsets started to shift due in part to LSU beating a very good Auburn team, an SEC Championship and a Sugar Bowl victory. Once the 2003 season ended, we were the BCS National Champions, and LSU was expected to win moving forward, as we are now a nationally recognized power program. Money starts pouring in to the athletic department, as the high level of play was maintained and even intensified.
I don’t want to see our fans go the route fans of once powerhouse programs like Texas, Tennessee etc. have endured the past 9-10 seasons. We as fans have a lot to do with how decisions are made based on how we decide to spend our money. It’s ok to cheer for the Tigers when they’re down, but they don’t get any of the money we spend on concessions or merchandise.
Posters on this board shouting “DON’T BE NEGATIVE” have a point to an extent. But please do be cautious about how our beloved Tiger football program is being ran. If this thing starts to sink, the best thing you can do for the players is encourage them when you see them, because they’ll always be Tigers. The best thing you can do for the program is keep it in your wallet.
All this being said, I’m excited about this year, and I expect 10 wins. Geaux Tigers!

Where were the thought police when les was winning 10 games a year and NOT long to Troy?... they wanted him gone just because “the offense doesn’t look pretty”
These are the same people wanting others banned for having legitimate problems with orgeron

I love it when they say "Miles only one games because he recruited great talent " as if that's not what he's supposed to do.
