Sounds like he wants to be developed and wasn't getting that here.

No it doesn’t. Sounds like he’s not ready to play at the level that LSU needs or the coaches want him to at this time and someone else on the roster was.

Impossible to know for sure without insider knowledge, but this is a reasonable take, and I can see why he might think this-- right or wrong.

He acknowledges they had packages for him to play. I've seen the speculation on here that these packages were just him running the wildcat... Not sure if true. (he did have a similar # of pass attempts in last scrimmage as everyone, but that's not definitive either and may have been designed that way to lead all QBs to feel footing was equal.) If his actual packages seemed more run heavy than the plays he ran during the scrimmage, he might've felt that he was being pushed into a gimmick, change of pace, wildcat role instead of being in contention to be groomed as a proper starter.

The coaches may have viewed the same packages as a way to get his feet wet and give him time to grow into a broader role. He might've felt it threatened to marginalize him. It's all speculation.

Actually it sounds like he wanted to develop by starting before he was ready and we are not in a position to do that

Actually, if he said they wanted a QB that was ready to play and they were moving in two different directions, it sounds like he was actively trying not to be ready to play.

Maybe that's because he's not very good at choosing his words though.

The guy has been here one year. And that was a redshirt year spent trying to recover from his injuries. He hasn’t played in almost 3 years and you want to say he s not getting developed? Good lord if a QB would stay at a school in the system for a couple of years he would have time to develop. Narcisse was there barely enough time to learn where the bathroom was.

How the hell is he gonna get developed when he bolts after one season? I don't think he is the only player on the roster that needs time to develop and others on the depth chart are more developed. Narcisse would only see the field this year if the staff implemented plays specifically designed to compliment his abilities. But, if he can't beat out Brennan for the starting job next season, I'd be willing to bet Parish will be that change-of-pace QB next season. Peter Parish, kinda has a ring, like Peter Parker, hum, Spiderman. QB Peter Parish aka Spiderman, or better yet, Spidertiger. I LIKE IT!!!
