Miles to Blame for QB Woes!

According to Dellenger, LSU has signed 20 quarterbacks in the last 13 classes (2005-17) and only four completed their collegiate careers at LSU. Fourteen either were dismissed, transferred, or switched positions. Nine never played a single down.
The head coach recruited dual threat QB's and tried to make them Pro Style pocket passers. LSU for yeards under Miles never preferred or developed one style over the other. At least Coach O has come out and stated he prefers Pro-Style pocket passers that can move around in the pocket. I hate seeing both Narcisse and possibly McMillan transfer, but I understand that these kids want to play.

This would make a lot of sense if LSU's 2019 commit wasn't a dual threat.

Shifting blame away from O and only two posts. Suspicious much???

Thanks coach O, but you quit LSU too.

Could you be any more obvious Derek?

I honestly think that if Burrow is successful here for a year or two and Brennan is successful after him, you'll see a lot more blue-chip, pro-style recruits giving LSU more consideration.

The Dellenger quote is real. His words not mine. Check his facts. The buck always stops with the head coach, and I believe during most of that tenure it was Les Miles.

I'm aware. I called him a "commit" for a reason.

I don't see how there can be any argument against the fact that Les Miles laid the foundation to our current QB issues.
And its coach O's baby now.

And we arent on any other QBs at the moment. So, are you saying Orgeron is simply repeating Miles' mistakes?

This is 100% true. No one should disagree.

Yet, he's making the same mistakes that Miles did.

Miles never used the abilities of a dual threat QB. He'd put them in 3rd and eight or 3rd and twelve situations with a one/two receiver pattern.

no I am saying most pro-style are in a wait and see mode. If Burrow or Brennan put up huge numbers with this receiving corp, I am sure other recruits will sit up and take notice. Under Myles it was usually run 70% and throw 30% of the time. Very run heavy for sure.

He’s also come out and stated the exact opposite.

Wut? He ran his QBs all the fricking time

Yep. And that head coach is Ed Orgeron. Answer this. Why didn’t he sign a freshman QB last year? Don’t give me the “but Joe Burrow” shite because on signing day, there is no fricking way Orgeron knee he was getting Burrow and if that was his plan, then he is an idiot for putting all of his eggs in one basket
