Can you name a LSU QB who transferred and performed well at the next college?

Not talking JUCO year. I am speaking of a four year university. There may be someone I just can’t think of one right now. We possibly could have some in the near future to pay attention to.

Like the one who left yesterday but hasn’t played a game in over two years?

Ryan Perrilloux?

(I know, dismissed and not a transfer, but functions as one for our purposes here.)

He clearly said LSU QB that left us and went somewhere else, not any QB.

Clausen did well

Craig Nall transferred back in early 2000's and ended up in the NFL as a career backup

Other than that, no.

So you are trying to suggest this is a good thing?

Actually probably the opposite. I find it fascinating that in the recent history of LSU football across multiple years, multiple coaching staffs and multiple LSU QB’s that the transfers who did somewhat well is Craig Nall and Jimmy Clauson. It shows you LSU’s inability to develop QBs over a very long period of time. Not saying we have not had good QBs. It happens every 6 years or so. Compare to multiple other top 25 programs and we just can’t seem to develop consistently this important position.

You make an interesting point. It also shows the programs they transferred to were unable to develop them as well. Maybe these guys weren't that good after all when we recruited/signed them? If one expands the position from QB to ALL positions I bet we'd find the same thing. Not many who transferred elsewhere end up having a notable college football career.

I don't think he's trying to make this a good thing he is just asking a question and yes stating a fact all in one. Great question because I heard on OTB Jordy listed QB's since 05' that have transferred out of LSU. Here is the list you decide. QB's that transferred, changed positions or were dismissed:

05' Ryan Perrilloux - Jacksonville St(We know the story here)
07' Andrew Hatch - Transferred back to Harvard
09' Russell Sheppard - Change positions
09' Chis Garrett
10' Zack Lee - Baseball
11' Jerrard Randall - Transferred to Arizona
11' Steven Rivers - Vanderbilt to Northwestern St
12' Jeremy Liggins - Ole Miss as a DL
12' Rob Bolden - Went to E. Michigan moved to WR
13' Anthony Jennings - ULL
13' Hayden Rettig - Rutgers to Tenn Tech
14' Brandon Harris - UNC
16' Lindsey Scott - JUCO, Mizzu
18' Lowell Narcisse - ?

The list of those who have left and done well is almost as long as the list of LSU QB’s who have stayed 4 years and been successful
