Most prestigious neighborhood in BR?

What neighborhood probably is the best kept secret in BR? The neighborhood has beautiful homes, landscapes, low/zero crime, and old money?
I would say University Acres. There are no multimillion dollars homes, no Ferarris zooming down the street, and seems like very few people move out. It has been there for 80+ years (I'm guessing). It's probably the most beautiful neighborhood in BR.

Are you saying that there are some BR neighborhoods with Ferraris zooming down the street?

There's a nice enclave off Perkins. Surrounded by a flood plain that will never be developed. Like living in a rural area.

Yes, CCL, I saw one coming out of Bocage the other day, just to name two.

Affordably priced housing, on the LSU bus line, a Piggly Wiggly grocery conveniently located nearby, safe...
Oh wait, I'm stuck in 1985
Sorry. Forget I said anything.

University acres is great.. I lived on one of the dales but the lots are small and you ultimately feel crowded. Moved to the sandwich neighborhood of cloverdale between the dales and Southdowns and love it.. big lots with the same old style neighborhood feel..

University Acres, Woodstone, and Woodgate all next to each other has to be up there. All three are great with University Acres leading the way.

I wouldn't say that. The house on Nelson just past Menlo on the left is listed for 3.5 million right now. The lot at Menlo and Nelson is 370k.
There are plenty of homes well north of 1 million

Most prestigious has to be the Bocage/Bocage Lake duo.

I didn't realize they were getting that high in there. I was figuring they were touching the million dollar mark but not much higher due to their sizes. The homes maybe bigger than the look from the curb.

CCLA has some shite arse houses in it.
LSU Ave could be great but is aging badly.
Santa Maria has a few great homes but it’s otherwise average upper middle class and basically in Ascension.

That's not a neighborhood. Now there is a tiny neighborhood just east of it, Faiway St or something (goes from Jefferson to Tara blvd)

Some of the finest houses in BR are on this street, but it shows money, even if it's old money.
I guess I meant to say in the OP is what neighborhood is the most secretive prestigious neighborhood.

Eliza Beaumont Lane,if you have been there it was because you know someone that lives there or you got lost and found it by accident. Chandler off of Wylie Ave is another high end area without a name that most have never seen or heard of.

Best neighborhoods are probably CCL and Bocage. But that isn't exactly a secret.
There are some really nice houses by Webb Park that I had no idea were there until a few years ago. I always got off at college and drove by the hood to Webb, and always assumed that was how the entire area was. It wasn't until I starting working downtown that I realized how nice some of that area is.
Not to hijack the thread, but is there somewhere that has a true map if where the BR neighborhoods start and stop. Capital Heights, Mid City, Old Goodwood, and the Garden District all seem to run together.

Walden is really nice but all that separates you from the wild areas is a small canal and some woods. LINK
