It’s interesting you talk about the 1 meal a day and 2- 36 hour fast/ week. That’s exactly how I feed my dog on a raw diet, 3 days on with 1 meal a day and 2 fast a week.

I’ve contemplated doing it myself but for the mean time I love food too much to try lol

well 72 hour fast are optimal for health. Most people can't do that and especially not dry fasting which is the healthiest so long as you take in the kidney shots(google it).

So ketogenic based diets if done right fix many of your issue with the fat ratios. The ketogenic to a certain extent is a form of fasting. True fasting especially dry fasting is like being on a keto diet on steroids. The health benifits are crazy, but its fricking hard. When combined with the keto diet for breaking the fast the health benifits and especially fat loss benifits are crazy, but like i said its also crazy hard especially in south louisianas rich food culture.

thats why i don't recommend it to people for weight loss and honestly usually for health. The best diet for health is one you will stick to get the excess body fat off. this is almost always going to have the biggest effect on health markers.

now in the case of this thread, he asked advice for a very specific health concern. thats different.
