I started the decade as a Blackpool fan. They were a surprise Premier League club under Ian Holloway and were fun to watch, often playing a manic end to end style. Unfortunately, defense tended to be an afterthought and the PL stay was a short one. They soon lost Ollie and they've been a dumpster fire since.
If you like compelling stories, AFC Bournemouth is a good choice.

Sadly, Ian Holloway is more of a promotion specialist than a season-long Premier League type of manager. Small club, Blackpool, were redeveloping the ground at the same time, too. Kind of sad to lose them.
