Nope. I have had many honest and open debates about many issues including guns. Everyone is entitles to their own opinions about the matter. I just highly doubt this particular case is as open minded about the other side. Maybe it is from my own experience at LSU with an English professor who could not rational how my debate was legitimate. She literally told me after that she just personally did not agree with the paper (which doesn't lessen any truth to the paper).

I highly doubt this happened. You probably just wrote a shitty paper that was as one sided as this alleged book, but because it was your side of the argument you don't realize it was just as extreme.
