Spears is a great Tiger, love him, but he’s lowering expectations so that if the guy he pushed as our HC struggles but ends up 9-3 or 8-4 he can say HE EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!!
He backed a losing horse and instead of admitting his lack of good judgement he is throwing good money after bad trying to do everything he can to give O more and more slack.
It’s a shame honestly because no one would hold it against him now if he camebiut and said “you know what the talent is there, if O can’t get LSU to that NY6 Bowl they’ve been waiting for he just isn’t the guy to do it”.
But instead of pointing to the failure of the HC with SO MUCH TALENT, which was nonstop for the previous decade, now all of a sudden the HC just needs more time and they are belittling the players by saying the talent isn’t there.
It’s sad and pathetic and complete bullshite and the longer it goes on the more respect I will continue to lose for great Tigers like him, Booger, Clark etc as they continue to diminish the program they helped build just because they have a guy as HC that bows down to them and their buddies and gives them all the access they want.
Access to a mediocre program no one cares about isn’t going to be all it’s cracked up to be fellas. Be careful you aren’t investing to make yourselves VIPs at a club where no one wants to go to anymore

I don't know man. I got up in a great mood at 5 today to work out and went for a 5 mile run in one of personal best times. I gotta step up my game in case a certain old guy threatens to kick my teeth down my throat.

Hope you get back soon man. I tore my ankle last summer chasing my dogs around the yard and it was hell getting back out on the street and being able to run. At 43 it takes so much longer than the 4-6 weeks it used to take.
