Yeah we've never been told anything but our dogs are also smaller and sit on the bench. They don't bark at people or other dogs so it may just be the dogs and how they act.

Maybe not, but they have never said a word in the past so I had no idea dogs weren’t allowed inside. The bartenders have even brought my dog bacon from the kitchen as a treat while we sat inside and drank. If the rules are no dogs that’s fine with me. Like tdeucen said though, the only reason went there was to sit inside with our dog since it’s so hot outside. I’m willing to pay $7 for a beer that’s $7 a six pack for that convenience. Without that I have no reason to go there.

Won't be long people will be complaining about not having a quality tap room in BR, one that offers many different unique taps and no BMC items. Corporate had that but the "environment" didn't fit I guess, was one of the best bars to go and try new things and they always got what was available. Then they received several specialty kegs and other beers such as Cantillon other BR bars will not see.

The Cove was filling this role before they pulled this CBD stunt. They had Cantillon and other specialty things in bottles and occasionally on tap. Hopefully The Cove returns to its previous form with draft beer in that front room.

I believe that is what is going to happen, I just hated that the Cove didn't have space. A few releases I went to were awfully crowded, I liked the room at CBD. Also, it was smoking which sucked at the time, will be better now.

Sure, the location sucked. And it was always near empty when I went except for the CBS release (I did always go very early). Maybe I don’t get out enough, but I don’t understand all the shitting on the atmosphere. I always thought it was a very nice place.

It was, for me the only issue was distance. Wish something would open in Ascension area that would be similar (no I don't think TT counts)

If a bar doesn’t appeal to women, they’re not going to go. If women don’t go, you’re gonna be hard pressed to find men who want to spend their Friday night with a bunch of dudes. That’s not a knock on Corporate. That’s just how it works in the BR bars.

Corporate is well lit, no soft surfaces, inaudible music, nothing besides beer for a long time, and a few hardcore beer nerds discussing beer loudly. That’s a hard sell for groups of women, which makes it a hard sell for men who want to meet women.

They've had an arcade and poll table since opening, food for at least 3 years, wine for awhile as well. I know in the past year they've introduced mixed drinks which was originally a no go.

Tonight is the last night it will be open 7-2 damn

Maybe you don’t know many single women, but this isn’t what they get dressed up for a night out to do.

Not defending Bulldog because I’ve never been but:

With the exception of the $30 sours I could go buy everything they had at Rouses for 1/4 of the price they charge.

How is this different from most bars?

quote:

they quit letting dogs stay inside

I’m fine with that. Most dogs are not as awesome as the owner thinks they are.

Agreed. If you don't expect mark up at a bar, you're obtuse.

The craft beer crowd in Louisiana is incredibly fickle and petty. It's not like that in other parts of the country.

People bash Tin Roof here a lot, but that place is always pretty busy.

Craft beer can lure people who want an elite status of some sort. Mix that with idea that they should be getting the hookup like it's a frat bar or a grocery store(who can sell it at cost if they choose to because they make their money elsewhere) and you have a strong culture of entitlement. Which is kills the culture most of the craft beer crowd across the country wants.

Also, I'm sure the obsession with Juicy IPAs doesn't help most taprooms.

I mean you can get Ghost at Hooters, for a decent price. How many craft beer nerds are hanging there?
