I'm hoping they name a starter early in the camp so they can get as many reps as possible.

Or simply because logic dictates both will be the starting QB's (barring injury)
Why would Patterson leave a starting job at Ole Miss to be a BACKUP at Michigan? You don't think he got an assurance from Harbaugh that he would be the starter BEFORE he agreed to transfer there?
Same with Burrow. He decided to leave OSU once it was determined he would be the backup. Why would he agree to go somewhere else just to again be the backup?
For the sake of the team and competition both HC's are going to say the QB race is undecided. The reality is that the position is BOTH guy's to lose

LOL over 60 now with 50 of them telling me how stupid I am. I got my arse handed to me. ouch!

Coach urban Meyer said today at media day Burrow was right there to be the starter at Ohio State. Burrow and his family made somewhat of a business decision to transfer to LSU,a big time program who’s been desperately searching for a big time quarterback. so rather than waste any time to take the chance to be the back up again. So they made a decision The Faster that decision was made the faster he could get to LSU and get acclimated. Urban knows Burrows Talent and figured he can help LSU knock off Alabama and he might not have to deal with them in the playoffs. That’s why LSU and Cincinnati was the only two schools he was allowed to transfer to

Well I think you said it all right there. He didn't leave a 50/50 situation to join another 50/50 situation. He's going to be the starter barring any unforeseen calamity.

It was a dumb thread, what did you expect?
Here’s something to think about : If Orgeron named a starter today or an hour before the game, Miami has the same amount of film on that QB.
Also, practice starts August 4th. Without one snap at practice, yet, it would be hard for Orgeron to name Burrow the starter today.
