Won’t be locked in any room or common are. All doors will have free egress. The most schools don’t have the budget comment is correct $2500 to $4000 per door is the going rate plus control panel, server, software licenses etc. Also for a school they will need a full time person to administer the system and manage cards. Arm the teachers. This is the answer.

You can’t arm every teacher. Not everyone has the mental capacity and maturity to have a gun. Hire real security guards. Cops, former military, private security, etc.
