and we were running the 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense., would we be picked to do better?
We probably would, because that recipe was good for 9 wins a season. This, more than the fact that O is the head coach, is the reason we're picked to only win 6.5 games this season.
this year we venture into the unknown. I, for one, am optimistic and excited, ever the more so because Big Joe Burrow will be handling the qb duties and Big Stud Kregg will be coaching the Oline.
Go tigers!

We have CEH and Curry, you’re saying they aren’t going to be studs?

This offense just might be much more efficient and entertaining? It might work real good with what Aranda is trying to do this year also. They want to be a more aggressive style with more confusion, TFL, Sacks, and TOs.
It will be a more detailed defense and from what I hear the entire defense is catching on like clock work. What we saw in the spring is nothing like what we'll see in the fall. Same for the offense. Both sides of the ball will be designed to put maximum pressure on the opposition.
If we can be successful in TFL, Sacks, and TOs while also turning our offense into a more efficient offense in the RZ, this team could blow some people out this year. Just smother them and never let up.
I know Les Miles didn't do this purposely but his offenses were designed to minimize risk when winning and would raise the risk when down. So much less passing when winning and a bit more when losing. Most of the passing was also short stuff or sideline throws to minimize risk. Only when needing to score would he allow them to throw in the middle of the field most times.
Steve E is kinda similar but is designed to throw all over the field at multiple players per game so the defense can never key on one or two players. The throws are still safe throws but more designed to gain big yards. My hope is that it's a more open offense with Burrow or someone he trusts and is accurate. Basically an offense that doesn't have tendency. It will throw or run at anytime, to anyone, anywhere on the field. An offense that lets it loose at the start of the game and keep the pedal down while also using up clock to do it. Let your defense take over the game and get the ball back for you then run out the clock by gaining first downs.

I've never heard a football coach be described as a "Big Stud" by a man. We had Big Stud coaching once though.
