I've been to a lot of exciting LSU football games, 2 NCs, 97 Florida, 07 Florida, 08 Alabama.
But the most exciting was game 2 of the 2008 LSU super regional vs. uci. LSU was down to its last strike, not to mention that BS out call at second base on lemahiu. Down to their last strike, epic comeback, last series at the old Alex Box. It was just an incredible atmosphere.
As a cherry on top LSU skull dragged Irvine in game 3 to go to Omaha.

Outside of the teams I like and have season tickets to, the coolest experience by far was Army vs Navy Football. The atmosphere and flyover are both amazing. For the fly over you have fighter jets flying high coming out of the Navy corner and Apache helicopters flying low coming out of the army corner. I would recommend that trip to anyone who is a sports fan in general. The atmosphere at both the game and at all the bars the night before is also awesome. Plenty of shite talking but it ends with a respectful handshake, not frat daddy fist fights

I'm an OSU fan and been to dozens of great games (the best of which was probably OSU/UT in 2005 with VY leading a game-winning drive; great game)
My best overall experience was last summer I sat in the bleacher creatures at Yankee Stadium when they played the Rays. Guys in the section were yelling at the right fielder from pitch one; at one point he turned around and laughed at them and that just drove them to a fever pitch. It was a good time all around and the game was close to the end.
Something about that day the environment was really awesome.

I wasn't in the stadium but I was watching the WC live in Switzerland as a teenaged foreign exchange student and it was the first time I could drink.
It was 1990 and the entire pub was just full of German fans who wouldn't stop singing all match long, I'd never seen anything like it as soccer hadn't yet caught on in America beyond youth play.
West Germany won and the entire pub spilled out into the streets and had this make-shift parade all night long - it was fun as hell for a kid.
I didn't even care about the match - it was just the revelry of the whole experience. I had been to CFB games but as a kid you're not getting the College kid CFB experience. So this was unique to say the least. It was the coolest time.

The 2001 SEC West Championship.
I was there.
I was stationed at Ft Campbell, KY. Left there at about 8am, got into Walker around 4pm, then went to the game, which I think had a 6pm kickoff. Drove back to Fort Campbell the next morning.
The atmosphere was awesome! It was, by all accounts the highest stakes game in Tiger Stadium history. Winner goes to Atlanta. The crowd definitely brought it. LSU kicked a$$. It should have been a 27-7 final, but Aubie scored a TD in mop up time. A great game in LSU history that totally gets forgotten. You could create an entire thread based on that game alone. LSU's first SEC West Championship.
