I don’t think you’re very familiar with Lafayette. The college has an enrollment of like 19K these days and employs many people. If they closed, the town would be different.. maybe it wouldn’t disappear off the map but it certainly would be a different town.

You could say that about a lot of the other towns/cities you mentioned. Hell if LSU wasn't there as a buffer between N and S BR, BR would be WAYYYY different than as it exists now.

They wished. They count the 2400 people who take "leisure learning" classes like Gumbo Cooking, Nude painting, etc, as full time students. These people are not enrolled, have no student ID and are not students, yet ULL counts them as such. Ridiculous
