By democrats. It will force democrats to show their hand and could be damaging to their campai..... wait..... what’s that? They cancelled the vote?
GD I absolutely hate Paul Ryan. Leave already. You noodle spine cuck.
Fn Paul Ryan
Evidently he was “afraid” the Dems would vote present or not at all. Uhh.. Ryan... that STILL puts them on record of not supporting it!

Ryan scraps 'abolish ICE' vote By RACHAEL BADE and KYLE CHENEY 07/16/2018 08:07 PM EDT Updated 07/16/2018 08:48 PM EDT Speaker Paul Ryan quashed a rank-and-file effort to force Democrats to take a politically toxic vote to abolish the federal government’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, sources familiar with the matter told POLITICO.

The tool decided a vote on a non binding resolution in support of ICE was better.

Whatever happened to "Put your money where your mouth is". Democrats... smoke/mirrors/paper tigers/house of cards/glass houses/cast the first stone/now forget I said that

Ryan is an idiot for not making them vote on this. Get them on the record.

Ryan cannot leave soon enough. He needs a vote on open borders more than anything.

This will go down faster than a one-egg pudding.

I knew that pussy would cave before it was over.
Seriously though. He called their bluff and was poised to make them look like fools and he backed off.
This is why mainstream republicans are just as bad as democrats.

That's the whole point of doing it. It's a catch 22 for them.

Every member of congress should be fined $10,000 every time they propose, draft, or vote on a non-binding resolution for wasting our time and money.

I agree with those saying Ryan is a spineless pol. The man is clearly without fortitude or nerve.
However, if they are indeed bringing this resolution to the floor it will force the dems to either vote in support, thus isolating the confirmed lunatics on their side of the spectrum, or show their true colors before November should they vote in opposition of support.
Even if they fail to show or walk out, the wording of support in the resolution would be sufficient enough to expose them.
Bring the resolution to the floor of the House.

Exactly, and he prevented them from doing that.

At this point a vote, even on the bill itself, would have been simply to establish political exposure. In my limited perspective, the resolution accomplishes the same objective.

Republicans are spineless. They need to force Ryan out immediately. It's time for him to face public corruption charges.

Also, water is wet.

Respectfully disagree.
The bill was created by the Dems. The non binding resolution was made by the Repubs. By voting on the Republican resolution, you give these crazies political cover. By forcing them to vote on a Dem created bill, they would have no such political cover.
Ryan should make them vote or no vote their own bill. Opportunity missed to expose these hypocrites for what they are.

Ryan almost grew a pair until he remembered watching his wife get the BBC the night before
