Very taxing emotionally as with a lots of frontline medical careers ( Ed, trauma, etc).
Worst is pediatric patients and family aftermath.

Dealing with bloody HIV ppl and drug users messed with his head. He became paranoid(needle sticks etc) and the stress wasn't worth it.
