I just started watching the series today and caught up with the new episode tonight. I think it's really good, and definitely strikes a few chords with TD season 1. Think they nailed the casting, as most of supporting cast are real southerners, with everyone's accents pretty good. I grew up in a small town in MS and the show's portrayal is spot on IMO.

They have done a good job at showing the main cast who could be killers with a healthy amount of skepticism without leading the audience on too much. The random shots of the dad makes me wonder for what reason, though, but most of the other townsfolk pointing fingers just seems like genuine gossip. What's with Patricia Clarkson babying her youngest so much? Some of her caregiving is questionable

Elizabeth Perkins is like 60 and her and Eleven's resemblance is crazy.

Looks like the mom is trying to preserve Amma to be like doll-like, like Marion.

Camille must’ve been into the rough stuff with the boys ( I.e. the shed), and the cutting / rehab /her roommates suicide, that was some heavy stuff
