Some observations on today's Russian indictments

1. The DNC refused access of their "hacked" servers to the FBI. The FBI should have taken control of those servers and investigated immediately. It should not have been open for debate. Non-negotiable. Allowing Crowdstrike (3rd party) to look at those servers and provide analysis, which was taken as fact by the FBI, was ridiculous.
2. If the GRU hacked into those systems as claimed, then they possibly gained access through information acquired through Hillary's hacked emails, on her server that she insisted on, against the written agreement she signed as Sec. of State. She should have been charged. She knowingly used her own server. Not negligently, KNOWINGLY.
3. If there is "proof" that the GRU of FSB were actually hacking Democratic Party devices, then the investigation of POTUS is patently false, but this was known when Bob Mueller was given a free hand to investigate anything he wanted, without any crime specified. We all know that the primary basis of the investigation was driven by the dossier and the Fusion GPS Report, bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton. Yet still an investigation.
4.A Friday news dump, coming on the heels of Peter Strzok's testimony from yesterday to counter-attack the disaster for the FBI and DOJ.
5. Furthermore, if all of this transpired as alleged, the Russians are guilty of doing to Clinton, what the FBI did to Trump.
6. I hope Trump flies back from his meeting with Putin with the twelve indicted Russian's, and allows them to stand trial. They will ask for discovery and Mueller will back=peddle again.

Here's one nobody talking about:
the hacking took place 2.5 months after george papadoupolous allegedly was told Russia had emails on hrc and boasted about it.
Looks like that mifsud dude was full of shite.

I know why the imbeciles timed it this way but all they accomplished was giving trump some leverage next week

Another aspect of this I have not heard anyone discuss is this..
Are we expected to believe the Russians were "hacking" the Democrats but not the Republicans?? That is an absurd thought...
Its kinda like the old saying that our military has a plan to kill everyone on the planet...
Russians would be no different with their espionage...
If they did in fact "hack" the DNC, then maybe the DNC needs to hire knew cyber security...

Agreed, the big picture is not often seen by some.

I fell like they are closing the Muller investigation out

I would love for those Russians to stand trial and be questioned under oath.

Today's anouncement sort of clarifies why RR was at the Kavanaugh anouncement smiling and gladhanding all the Republicans in the room. Mueller investigation is winding down and entering a new pahse, one that focusses on preventing further "hacks".
The espionage division is probably laughing at the "collusion" and outrage. This is standard fare for them.

Okay, we can agree here.

I suspect this will never happen, because based on Mueller's action thus far, anytime a defendant requests discovery, he backs off and tries to delay as long as possible.

This is what I keep coming back to. If the DNC refused to hand over their servers then what are these indictments based on? How does Justice Dept know the Russians hacked the DNC if the DNC never let the FBI investigate the servers? Where is the evidence?

The notion of watching Mueller crawfish once again has me agreeing with you.
None of these Russian indictments, so crucial to the republic, will ever result in a trial.

This has more to do with delaying his SCJ pick than anything else.

Not sure that's legal. If my house is broken into, I do not have to let the Police investigate. Now, it's possible the FBI could invoke some "national security" provision to force the DNC to comply, but I doubt it.

How do you know when the actual hacking occurred? Has that info been publicly revealed? Or were you referring to when the hacked material was published?

Okay, I will concede your point, if you will stipulate that you would have no standing on which to complain about the police investigation, or lack thereof.

No mention of GRU having hacked voter databases, voter rolls, stealing voter information on 500,000 Americans from unnamed SOS sites, or having hacked a voting machine software manufacturer? Did you omit all this because it doesn't fit your agenda or because you just copied this from some right wing rag?
