Marcel Brooks is now the #2 player in Texas and one of our biggest recruiters in the class.

I like it.

Just curious but where do they have Palmer ranked?

Honestly shocked that Kardell Thomas isn't in the top 25. Has he not camped well or something?

Palmer dropped to #252 overall and #11 in LA since he didn’t compete at multiple events because of injuries.

Kardell dropped because they made him pass protect at OT against top DEs in the country, without pads.

Still the #1 OG in the nation.

There are some real head scratchers with this list.

Ty Davis got a bump but still underrated at 102. He's a Top 5 back nationally.

Palmer's rating is a joke.

Cain is way too low.

Thomas anywhere but inside the Top 25 overall is a joke.

These guys are putting too much emphasis on "shorts" season.

Yep and they drop him 34 spots, what a joke!

Brooks jumps up like 32 I think. This kid will be a stud

His film from the camps looked pretty damn good to me. The only guy that really got him more than once was Ishmael Sopsher. Unfortunately Louisiana players cant wear pads at those camps so he didnt have the opportunity to go up against many of the people there.

Realllly hoping Emery is Ja'Marr Chase 2.0 and a Tiger when all is said & done.

Brooks and Constantin are tailor made for events like this as cover linebacker types. I'm not saying either didn't deserve a bump (Constantin got a small bump, but also looked good in coverage like Brooks), but guys like them and say Emery at RB are always going to look the best without pads and in 7 on 7 settings over other bigger guys who turn out better in pads with contact. Emery got a nice bump, but a smaller speedy back who can catch will always show out in events like 7 on 7. Surprisingly Davis got a big bump too, as a big back, but he possesses great speed too. I've been calling him a Jeremy Hill clone for a while now. The dude really has it all with size and breakaway speed.

He was the rivals 5-star challenge camp MVP among offensive linemen. Keep in mind, that's against the elite of the elite. Kind of makes you laugh when 247 drops him a ton of spots, eh...

Barton mentioned him struggling at tackle in space against small speedy guys basically vs. guard, which no sh*t there, the guy is a large guard...cant believe he was probably the reason he dropped so much on 247 for taking reps at a position that wasn't even what he will play in college.

Good comp. He's faster than Hill too.

Hill was a 4.65 at the combine.

Davis has been clocked at 4.53...albeit a little lighter than Hill right now.

Honestly Palmer has been asking for it. Billy (247) has followed him around it seems from a handful of camps and he said in every setting he's "been hurt" and mentioned in a way he could have competed but simply used an injury as an excuse not to. When he has been on the field, on offense and defense, he's made plays though.

If you're judging Thomas on the same criteria you would judge a tackle, then yes, he's not anything special. But the guy is a dominant guard. Every single camp he participates in shows him burying top d-lineman He's not going to be asked to step out on the edge and block rush ends.

That would be akin to significantly dropping Fournette because he wasn't very good at lining up in the slot and running routes. Who gives a shite? That's not what he's going to be asked to do

Hill ran a 4.52 at pro day, his combine time was not indicative of what he can really run, forgot why he was "slow" there but I think he wasn't quite 100% or something. We all saw Hill's open field speed once he got there though.

Just remember to take all these ratings with a grain of salt.

That Inside LB commit at Ole Miss took a drastic jump up because he was good at playing tag with running back in shirts and shorts. You have to take these changes with a grain of salt
