I’ve tried EPL for two years and now the World Cup

It’s ok but I can’t stand still and watch a whole game without getting bored.

What advice do you have to follow a sport that most of the time ends 1-0 or 2-1 or even 0-0?

I’d love to see a field with 10 yards in on width and length and see more action.

I have tried to develop an interest in soccer for a few years now...still can't sit through an entire match, let alone get the slightest bit excited about it. I am afraid I am just going find something else to watch during soccer season...

Indoor arena style and full contact. Maybe even include some weapons.

It's the lack of a hook.

No local team. No local stars. MLS is a second rate league. No alumni to follow in the pros. And with the World Cup, our men's national team sucks.

Having a son who plays did it for me. I played when I was young, but at that level. I watch soccer way too much right now, but knowing it won't last long makes it bittersweet.

If this World Cup didn't entertain you then soccer's just not for you.

It's tough to get into the EPL because there's no inherent reason to care about the teams.

It's easier to get into US soccer. There's a patriotic aspect to it. And I enjoy watching the team and I understand the game. It's also easier if you like doing butt stuff with men. I had to get around that part.

Either you are into it or not.

I find that if you are around a large crowd watching the game and everyone around is into the game.. And you see how excited people get, it helps.

In 2010, that is how I started following the WC more. I was somewhere where people was watching the USA and everyone was getting excited and pumped up, but I can't watch a whole game.

This year when Croatia and Russia played and it ended up in a tie. Croatia was all excited because they had to tie or win to advance and it's like "I watched the end of this to watch a tie?" It feels unfinished, but whatever. I just embrace the fact I am a die hard American football fan and basketball fan and I can't force myself to get into something more than I want, just because it's really popular.

If you don't understand that there's more to the game than scoring goals you won't ever be able to enjoy it.

Honestly, it's the same reason some people don't like baseball. There's more to the game than homeruns, but not everyone understands that.

I'm surprised you're not interested in a field full of sweaty men.

Youtube has condensed versions of all matches. If that doesn't work for you, I don't know what else to tell ya.
