Possible itinerary for trip to Europe.
Any advice on whether to add in a city or take a few days off a city somewhere appreciated. We like to spend a decent amount of time in each city to get to really know it and not feel rushed.
Possibly thinking of adding Brussels in?

Seems like a reasonable itinerary. How long is the train between Vienna and Amsterdam? I would look at low cost airlines. Eindoven is a city an hour from amsterdam that a lot of low cost airlines fly into and there are shuttle buses that take you to amsterdam. I personally don't care for Brussels but I'm sure someone on here loves it. It has a nice medieval square but beyond that I've never found anything that interesting the 5 or 6 times I've been there. It is a transportation hub which is why I have been there so often.

Why Amsterdam? Seems that the first three are reasonable, but why train all the wa to A’dam? Go to Munich instead.

OP,
is there a reason you don't want to fly?
europe is the land of the cheap discount airlines.
if you have any miles/awards at all short haul flight on non-discount airlines are equally cheap and readily available.
i'm not the cold weather concern...my concerns about the itinerary is less about the time in each city and more about timing of the trip in general.(it will be COLD)

You'd be better off going Budapesh, Vienna, Prague, then Amsterdam. Traveling east to west, less travel tinme/ distance.
Where are you flying in/ out of? What I'd probably do is fly into/ out of Amsterdam. Then to start the trip simply fly from Amsterdam to Budapesh.

That’s a lot of days In Prague and Budapest. Break up these two stops and stay 2 nights in Bratslavia.

Looks like a fun trip. Of those places, I’ve been to Prague and Amsterdam. Prague is still my favorite European city. Fun stuff
My only thought is it looks like a long trip. So I would make the last stop a place you would be okay with taking a chill day to get your system right. Not sure you travel plans...kids, nightlife, or calmer person. But Amsterdam could be a city where you want to hit it hard. Making that day 20 might be tough. Not a chill/spa day type of city.
Recently went on an 18 day trip through Europe and made Dublin the last stop. London, Rome, Florence, Lisbon, Barcelona, Dublin. One night drinking Jameson in Ireland and keeping up we the locals showed me the wall.
Again, just a thought. Not sure if drinking and nightlife is an issue.
