never did I think I'd be so upset to see a 31 year old PG, who can barely shoot, and could only play average defense, leave New Orleans. dude came here and bought in immediately. but mostly importantly, he pushed Jrue and AD and showed them the importance of leading, creating a family amongst teammates, watching film & studying the game, staying focused, being confident/playing with swagger, etc.

dude was a jolt to the Pelicans organization when we needed it. he was a massive part of our success last season and will be missed. good luck in LA and please go shut Lavar Ball up.

I got a semi everytime he would get off the bench and start calling out plays like a coach.

Jazzy Jeff Tweet
quote:

My lasting impression of Rondo came in locker room scrum after Anthony Davis had 53 vs. Suns:
Me: You’ve played with & against a lot of great players in your career. Can you put into perspective what A.D. is doing right now?
Rondo: Whatcha want me to do? Suck him off?
Me: Uh.

Dude has the highest IQ for a basketball player I have ever seen. I'm gonna miss that.

Gonna miss Rondo. For a guy that historically can’t shoot, he would get unsustainably hot from outside sometimes when nothing else was working. I remember when the Pels were playing the Jazz late in the year and Rondo hit 4 three balls in a matter of 90 seconds to keep us close heading into half.

Wonder who is gonna commit Pels Talk suicide and start a Demarcus Cousins Appreciation thread...

Rondo

Was fricking ecstatic when we signed him and he was way better for us than I thought he would be. He will be missed.

Bigger lost than Cousins IMO

Taught Anthony and Jrue how to be the leaders they will continue to be in the upcoming season. Fun to watch. Smart player. Going to be a great coach in the league someday

24 hrs later I'm already over Cousins - Randle will fill in well enough.

Rondo is what stings. The way he talks about court vision in terms of spatial equations and all was the bomb. Dude is like an improv jazz musician with a ball.
