the risk with Boogie, especially given yesterday's events, is what he expects

we've literally never seen him on a team where he wasn't being overly demanding. we assume that he's going to buy in b/c he chose GS, but he also only did so b/c he was throwing a tantrum over not getting his way

when he's healthy, will he be willing to take that role? will he buy into their system? shite, will he play defense like they demand? when boogie feels he's back, he's going to want to do boogie things

If he doesn’t buy in, they just sit him. They are only paying him the MLE. They can waive him if he causes shite

They don’t need him. He needs them. This is a contract year for him. He would be a fool to cause any trouble. It would cost him too much money.

The fact that no one offered him makes him worth the risk.

He has everything to lose. If he starts bitching out, GS won’t play him AND can afford to cut him. The Lakers did something similar with Isaiah Rider in 2001. Rider was a 20 ppg SG the Lakers picked up on a discount. When he started causing problems, Jackson moved to cut him. After that is when the Lakers went on that historic 39-2 run through the playoffs.

Boogie acts out and he’s done, especially coming off of an Achilles injury. It would cost him millions.
