Started keto toward the end of March. Around a month ago. I did it for a few reasons.

1) Primarily convenience. My wife wanted to do it because most of my in-laws that we see on a regular basis are now going keto. Her dad has been keto for like 6-7 years, but now her sister and BIL are keto as well and are loving it. She was going to go keto whether I joined in or not. So, rather than trying to meal prep for two completely different diets, I decided to just follow along.

2) Hunger management. I was getting to a point where I was extremely hungry, pretty much all day long. I know that's just a part of dieting, especially closer to the end of a diet, but I figured the appetite suppressing benefits of keto would help out here, and I do think that it's helping me here at the end of my dieting cycle. I'm still getting pretty freakin' hungry most days, but the hunger doesn't have the same sting.. the same voracity. I'm just hungry and can deal with it most days.

3) Many of my favorite foods are keto-friendly so it's really not difficult for me.

those are great reasons why you should choose keto. Its why i do it many times.

The biggest adjustment on keto has been in the gym. I saw a MAJOR dropoff in performance in my workouts for the first 2-3 weeks. I still don't feel 100% but the workouts are better, probably 90%. I started taking electrolyte salts prior to workouts and that helped tremendously. I still bonk on longer workouts. For example, yesterday's WOD was run 5 laps (about a mile) then 5 rounds of pull-ups (i did banded) and hspu (I did push press) and about halfway through the pull-ups and push press I started getting really dizzy, seeing spots, kind of blacking out. Hit my 20min timecap.

This is my problem on keto. I have a large performance drop off, not in intial strength but sustainable volume at certain intensities.

One thing that has helped me though with non keto is going pretty damn low fat and very volumous foods to help with just overall volume of food consumed.

Yeah I haven't had any dip in strength, but volume is a problem.

I thought I was doing a good job of that but then I started following Mike Israetel and following his current cut... That dude defines voluminous but not calorically dense eating. Dude eats like a half a loaf of diet bread per meal
