Sig sauer p365 rant

Purchased one of the second wave p365s with xray sights in late may. It had a may manufacture date. I took it to the range the day after purchase and experienced two light primer strikes. The strikes were off center and rounds fired flawlessly out of my vp9. I called sig on my way home from the range and they sent me an rma to return the gun to them. Three weeks later, i get it back wuth a note of what they did to fix gun. They replaced the strike and a few other components. It functioned good and seemed okay, but i noticed the xray tritium sight was now dead and did not glow in the dark, so i called sig again and they told me to send it back to them again. This is the third time in the last year i have sent them a firearm to fix. First my p320 for their "voluntary" upgrade now this. I will no longer be buying their guns. end rant

remember the good old days when Sig was focused on making nice pistols for the guy who was comfortable spending in the $900-1200 range? now they want to make cheap pistols, suppressors, scopes, rangefinders, airsoft guns, ammunition, etc etc etc
im not big on them anymore either, tbh. they're like the amazon of guns now - they do everything under the sun, but it's all mediocre. i miss when they were more specialized, but hey, gotta shake things up to appeal to the masses these days.

The 365 had such promise when it came out. Sucks they didn't live up to the hype.

Had a friend that went on a Facebook rant when he bought his 365. Went on and on about how the 365 was yet another example of the quality and innovation of Sig and how Glock was stuck in the dark ages.

Their defense has been hilarious on forums. They just won't admit fault.

Imo, there is no excuse to have a MIM striker. That's just stupid.

This. I bought a S&W svd9 once from academy because it was sub $300. Striker broke on the second mag. MIM part

The pattern of problems with the polymer guns, particularly since the SP 2022, anyway, first the P250 series, more recently the P320 and P365 issues - could be growing pains - it's no secret I'm a huge fan of the Sig Classic, all metal pistols, epitomized by the P220 and P226, but I can't help wondering if this is yet another example of why I don't buy fish sandwiches at McDonald's, I don't order burgers at KFC, and I don't get wings at a pizza place.
I mean, I probably wouldn't consider buying a Glock rifle. But, for a polymer, hi cap pistol? I may not end up with a Glock, but that's my starting point for comparison.

I have a P320 X5 that I absolutely love. The only issue I had was when some of the ammo I loaded was to long and hung up in the mag. That’s my issue not the guns. I’ve been shooting steel challenge matches and the experiences you are describing about the polymer Sigs is not at all my experience with this one.
I will say I got a P250 in a trade a while back, that thing mit as well be a paper weight if you aske me. Got rid of that one.
