Wow
I know I’m late to the series but it’s Great!
I’m on season 4 now. Season 1 was amazing, absolutely amazing. Season 2 dropped off a little then season 3 came back big. Just got to season 4, hope it lives up!

Awesome, enjoy! I'm about to do a rewatch. Just finished rewatch of Lost and The Wire is next, along with rewatch of Better Off Ted since it's on hulu now. Not sure after that, maybe another BSG run.

I need to finish up some more current content along the way too. Finish S3 of Rick and Morty, decide if I'm going to watch S5 of AD, etc.

the church of SFP has much more of a, ""Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are do" attitude these days re: Wire season 2

Yeah, can’t really take a review of S2 seriously until they go through a rewatch

I understood the problems on my first run - it's just jarring. Once you get past the jarring shift from Season 1 to Season 2 (and after you've watched the entire series once and dealt with the *ahem* "issues" with Season 5), you realize that Season 2 is as good or better than any other season, possibly excepting Season 1. But you have to have digested the entire series to fully appreciate that, IMHO.

The acting in Season 2 is stellar - some of the best in television history.

after you finish the series you will appreciate season 2 so much more

was watching bourdain "brooklyn' episode and saw omar and marlo on the same episode. It was so weird to see them not acting together

The first time thru I really liked S2, I was just blown away by S1. 2 does tie in nicely after you see the entire series and is better on repeat viewings. My biggest takeaway the 2nd time was how much Barksdale storyline there was in S2 and there’s the great Jimmy moment ever when he tracks winds and tides to stick the bodies on Rawls

that's the thing that always threw me off

people bitch b/c they claim it wasn't "street" enough but there is a TON of barksdale crew stuff, primarily by Stringer
