Bro, you gotta do what you want to do,. You’re coming to the wrong place for advice like this because, from what I’ve gathered from my time on the OT, most of these baws live in multi-million dollar homes and have no car or truck payments because they buy everything in cash.

I never pay over $13K for a vehicle...so, no.

84 months.... holy shite. Why not put like 20-25 down and pay the rest of it off in 3 years if you’re going to be paying 600

Was $1100 for 36 months but that fricker is paid for now.

Based upon what is posted in vehicle purchase threads here, I would assume a $800 84 month note is normal.

I bought a 2002 Toyota Camry for $1200 with 220k miles. It doesn't look bad and gets 28 mph. I make about $650 cash monthly after mileage reimbursement with maintenance. Minus $50 for insurance, I make $600 cash monthly driving it.

yep
$1217 a month for 36 months 0% interest
At 0% interest I'll use their money for 36 months instead of my money up front

Any baws with a $600+/month car note
My car is paid for, but my financially irresponsible sister is paying like $600 a month for something like a Nissan Altima because she was upside-down as frick on her previous trade-ins. It isn't in her DNA to pay off a car or keep a car for more than 3 years.

I wouldn’t pay $50k for a Ford, and I wouldn’t touch an 84 month loan.
That’s especially true for a Ford product that likely would not be running after 84 months without a substantial overhaul and/or repair bill if it’s actually used as a truck.
I wouldn’t spend more than $30k for a pickup of any kind. I keep nicer vehicles, but to me a pickup is a cheap vehicle that can be driven over land without worrying about scratching up the bed or bumpers...meaning a $50k sticker is out of the question.
The standard V6 regular cab Silverado or F150 are both plenty powerful for half ton truck duties. Both allow you to add taller gearing in the rear axle to boost towing if you need. If you can’t get the job done with that, you may need a 3/4 ton truck.

Nah. Pretty happy with my 15 year old Toyota. It is just a piece of metal to get me around.
