Trips to Italy are notoriously difficult to plan. I strongly recommend starting at least 28 separate threads.

Sarcasm aside, where do you want to go? How long? Budget? Are you guys tour people or would you rather do your own thing? I’d rough out an itinerary and budget and see where you are after that.

To the OP, where are you looking to go? My wife and I are going to Italy in September and will be in Cinque Terre, Milan, Modena, Lake Como, Florence, and Alba. If any of these spots are on your list, I'd be happy to pass along any information I can on them.
