Honestly? I think it’s because we have given far too much foreign aid to Europeans and the Middle East while we forgot about the destabilization of our own neighbors. A lot of an “I’ll get to it later.” attitudes from Presidents over the past 30 years. Combine that with MS-13 moving from Los Angeles to that area, bringing the gang culture there while terrorizing citizens and causing them to flee, and you have what we have now.

That doesn't answer the question. Why do the Western Nations need foreign aid from us?

This only makes sense if all those countries receiving that aid are peaceful, successful nations.
I also laugh at the underlying implication that it's America's fault these countries fail, because we don't give them money.
