Yeah he’s switching coaches and knows he’s playing bad. He is trying to take a wider backswing instead of picking the club up. Apparently the range sessions are good but it still doesn’t translate to the course. The dude has talent, you don’t end up in the final group at the masters on Sunday by being lucky, but I hope it’s like Ben An. He missed every cut I think in the season up until quail hollow and his swing finally clicked and got a W.

Someone else that switched coaches and you never heard from again was Heath Slocum. He had a decent career going in the PGA tour, switched coaches and now I don't even know if he still plays golf.

I think you're thinking of James Hahn, but I get your point.
It's kind of crazy the way your game can just completely fall apart. Happened with Brendon Todd and Steven Bowditch as well. I think there's some hope for Smylie considering how young he is, but everyone is just so good it's tough if you're not playing your best golf, let alone bad golf.
