Our accounting professor at LSU told us she’d always stay at the window because they have a system inside that tracks how long each order takes, and by pulling up, you let them skate by in their laziness.

Bold strategy though imo considering who’s making your food

Was it Chenier? She seems like she would have the cajones to do that.

Your professor sounds like a dumb arse. Those are minimum wage workers at a fast food joint, do you really think they care that much about their job? Does he or she really think they are striking a blow against the system? What petty bullshite to take a stand over.

You cant control their laziness so why get bent up over it. You know they wont give you precision like a 5star restaurant so why expect it?

Bingo - correct answer. I have been at one that no matter what, ask you to move forward. It doesn't matter if its very early in the morning and no one is behind you. Obviously, I do not go there anymore.

I seriously doubt the guy making my sausage and biscuit knows that I'm not moving until I get my order. Spitting on the food? That can happen anytime anywhere for any reason. If I'm that concerned I just won't eat out again.

The crux of all this waiting is when these businesses expand the number of order lanes, pay windows and pick-up windows without expanding the most important thing - the damn kitchen.
