Because it renders the NBA regular season and the first/second round of the playoffs meaningless.
It wouldn't bother me if it were a ~40 game schedule but 82 freaking games where it really doesnt matter.

1.) how is that any different than the past 4 seasons?
2.) what does them being in California have to do with anything?
If anything it makes it more interesting because there would be a team would could match up talent wise with GS
