Last week Booger McFarland said that if Fulton was eligible this season, he'll be the best corner on the team. I don't know how true that is, but it's definitely encouraging.
That's what is so disconcerting about this. He's a potential stud.

What's sad about it, it's obvious LSU needs to educate them on the rules better. Yeah, he went on bad advice of teammates and didn't seek out admin/coaches advice on tampering (of course!). But that just goes to show you the team is just as uneducated on such penalties. Not one teammate told him:
A) no need to panic, they're not testing for weed
B) don't tamper, the penalty is draconian

Of all the shite our compliance department pulls, and the attitude they take at times, we now come to find out they aren't educating them on the simple fact who's test is for what.

You’re right, but you also have to think about it in real life. Is the compliance officer supposed to say “don’t worry about weed for this test”?
I’m assuming he asked a buddy and they came to the conclusion of “better safe than sorry”.
People like to act like this is so cut and dry, but if you were In his situation - who could you really ask to find out.
