Progs are like the appeaser apologist Obama. They care more for the world economy and less for US economy.

I am unable to understand that mind set.

Whatever...but Justin is about to get what he asked for. This won't work out well for him or Canada.

Been back for a long time. Now, stop acting like a child and try talking like a mature adult and maybe I'll consider caring about what you say. Well, I won't, but at least you'll look a lot less childish.

Trump is increasing tariffs on our end. This is stupid and inflationary.

You right baw. A fricking simpleton knows more about global trade than a fricking self made billionaire.

I mean, look how it just wrecked our trade relationship with China.

Our greatest allies? When have our "allies" swept in to rescue us? It seems that this has always been a one sided relationship. When have ANY of them ever done anything that was exclusively beneficial to us or at the least very heavily weighted in our favor?

VOR rarely engages in actual policy or political discussion - he just drops an “I’m smarter than any of you” general statement from 30,000 feet and moves along.

Very sad and lazy and intellectually dishonest

I've noticed that.

At least he doesn't call me a "little girl" and say I'm not worth his time to prove my point wrong like that idiot 56 does.

Better yet...google "Canadian lumber subsidies".

I always wondered how in the hell it could be cheaper to import and ship lumber from Canada than to use locally logged and milled timber.

While y'all are googling, look up how many US saw mills have shuttered since the lumber subsidies went into effect.

He's gotten smarter over the years. After having countless number of more intellectual balls drug over his forehead, he's gotten better at the shite and run technique he now employs. I'd still have a beer with him though.

Canada made a COLOSSAL mistake by playing chicken with Trump . The recent arbitrary change in dairy tariffs was just over the top. It was completely unnecessary and targeted to deny access to American farmers. They are acted nearly as bad with poultry products and they are doing it in an “ in your face manner” . Furthermore they are playing slow ball with US companies, tying us up with paperwork and new procedures and regulations, anything they can to make it hard to do even business. They are sending a shot across our bow.

I think Trump thought he might get a friendly concession and he got the opposite- no concession- and a bunch of insults. And Democrats are lining up now to support those countries who deny us even access to their markets, because they enjoy seeing leaders insult a President they too are sky screaming about.

So why didn't he say it to his face, rather than wait till he had left?

Sounds like a back stabber to me.

The frick is Canada going to do for us on a reciprocal basis that we couldn't do ourselves, if it came down to it? 90% of our interactions with our "allies" is pure grace extended by the United States.

You mean the Canadian owned sawmills that are moving here to hedge their bets if we do end the bullshite? They know it'll make more financial sense to cut and mill here once the subsidies are gone. Prior to that, mills were closing left and right. We damn near lost all our local mills.
