Big fan of hiring wade and Torina. Now I’m a huge fan of what he’s done to the golf programs promoting Winstead and Runion. They’ve put LSU on the map.

Not saying hiring O isn’t a shite show but the golf programs are going to be elite baws

I’m sure Alleva did his due diligence on those hires and didn’t have an intern select their resumes off the LSU jobs site...

This is dishonest. He 100 percent hired Wade.

Just because he had a guy (Nunes) heading up his search, doesn’t mean he didn’t make the decision, negotiate the contract etc.

I’m no Alleva fan, but this theme keeps getting incorrectly repeated.

He’s responsible for the worst led coaching transition and search in my lifetime and maybe the history of cfb. It was pr blunder after pr blunder to ultimately hire a DL coach who interviewed for the Syracuse job the year prior and didn’t get offered. Then he gives the guy a 12 million dollar buyout when there is absolutely no market for him. He may have made good hires in a few sports and built some buildings and facilities, however his career will never survive his decision to give Ed Orgeron the head coaching job at LSU.

Syracuse was not interested in an interview. O expressed interest in the job publicly and Syracuse declined.

Actually it’s worse than that. He made it clear he wanted it and they wouldn’t even interview him.

The worst coach in Ole Miss FB history is LSU’s HC. Let that sink in.

Oh it sank in in Nov 2016.

Alleva should have been fired before the bacon finished frying in the skillet that next day.

I mean an argument can be made for Nutt but Orgeron is up there. At least Nutt had previous success.

Nobody to fire him. LSU BOS and TAF are spineless shills. They are the true problem behind LSU athletic failures.

Well with the new BOS I hope they fire him before the team takes the field.

Lol no. Nutt at least led them to back to back Cotton Bowls. O never came close to being bowl eligible.

O didn’t have the internal support at OM that he has at LSU, I’ll admit that.

But he’s gotten everything he could possibly want at LSU (including a mulligan for hiring Canada), and he should be in contention for the west this year or GTFO. Alleva needs to go first regardless.
