I always pulled hard for Jake but ended up banging my head against the wall a lot, too.

To me he never, ever looked confident at the plate or in the field.

He always looked sort of down on himself.

However, in recent years, I can't remember many years since Skip left that we had a ton of guys walking up to the plate like they were going to rape the pitcher's sister or mother either. Soft, in other words.
