I'm in grand isle every weekend. I'm at bridgeside so there is no beach anymore for the kids. We have to go down the island to get on the beach. This is the 1st year we have to do it. I brought the gator down there. I would definitely get something 2nd hand and dont keep it long the salt air down there is hard on them. I have a club car golf cart it's on its 4th year and starting to rust. So to answer your question I wouldn't spend a lot of money on something if you plan on using it down there often

That was a concern of mine too, that's why I went with Club Car. I figured an aluminum frame means that there is a little less left to rust. The rear seat I added is aluminum and the front brush guard/rod holders I was planning on adding are aluminum too.

I'm pretty good about keeping my stuff up and wouldn't have any problem giving everything a good rinse once or twice a day when getting back from the beach.

I still don't know if that's enough though...
