Paging Napoleon - washing machine question

I've got a Whirlpool Cabrio (model WTW7800XW0), works great except on the cleaning "Affresh" cycle.
It used to run the entire 60 minutes, but now it stops about 20 minutes into the cycle, dumps the water and ends. Online search indicates this is likely a control board problem. What does your experience indicate?

I read the affresh setting as fresh as frick in my head.
