That was my hope. Not afraid of some long hours or a lot of work in general, but long hours as an auditor is a totally different ballgame. I was hoping there would be a decent difference in the long hours.

I have seen you say this before and with all due respect, I think your opinion would change if you had a position that 40 hours was the norm.
And like I said above, travel wears you down. Working a 50 hour week but being able to walk home/take a train in a big city is completely different than living out of a hotel regardless of hours. Not sure what your situation is but sounds like you have a decent setup.
