I know for a fact it takes over $1 million/year to run a 115ft boat. I’d imagine these 200+ft ships can cost $3 - 10+ million.

A mil a year is probably a workboat budget. These things dont get near the hours a crewboat or linehaul tug sees.

It's still mindblowing how much these things cost. People dont think about how much machinery is below deck to operate that rig

Of course it takes more than $1MM/yr. If the ship has a crew of 70, and we conservatively estimate that the avg salary is $50k, that’s $3.5MM just in payroll.

I’d like to know what it costs to operate Dilbar or both A yachts. Seems like the three of them are on the move more than they aren’t.
