Abrams is coming in for Colin Trevorrow. If you believe rumor, Trevorrow wanted to correct some of the mistakes TLJ made but Kennedy was having none of it. She has this blind faith for Johnson for some reason. That guy has done more damage to the franchise than anyone.

It will be interesting to see how, or if, Abrams can salvage this trilogy given that all his bread crumbs left behind in The Force Awakens were blatantly ignored by Johnson when he did Last Jedi.
Add in the problem with either writing out Leia or having someone replace Carrie Fisher and they’ve got issues to deal with. Let’s hope dealing with these issues doesn’t stop the movie dead for 40 minutes like Matrix Revolutions.
